This is a place with an antique charm<\/strong> that is in the list of \u00a0the Historical Shops of Modena<\/em>, I have already spoken about,<\/a> and that I am deeply in love with.<\/p>\n

Caff\u00e8 dell\u2019Orologio (Clock Caf\u00e9)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is located in\u00a0Piazza d\u2019Ova<\/a><\/em>, behind Piazza Grande<\/strong>, overlooking Via Emilia and Piazza Mazzini<\/strong>. There are historical documents proving the existence of a coffee shop here\u00a0since 1787! Even famous people of the city, including the great singer Luciano Pavarotti<\/strong>,<\/a> have attended this place over the years. Today it’s a nice place to stop and sit for a moment at its tables in the square to relax and watch people walking in Via Emilia.<\/p>\n

Torrefazione La Messicana (Mexicana)<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"Caf\u00e9<\/a><\/p>\n

Another Historical Shop of Modena<\/em>, this roasting coffee shop is a unique place for coffee lovers!<\/strong>
\nMexicana<\/em> <\/strong>is located in via Farini 37<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>and it is an artisan roasting coffee shop since 1958. Dallari family<\/em>\u00a0runs it, once they produced here coffee with a wood-burning machine (the machine is still in the shop but obviously it is not longer functioning).
\nToday, the manufacturing process has been moved out of the city center and in Farini street<\/em> it’s located only the historic Caf\u00e9. This place is characterized by a dark-colored stones that covered the walls and recall the image and the shapes of the coffee beans. The bar is small and there are no tables, the ritual of coffee is consumed mostly at the counter, that is a great experience and a chance to chat with the owners.
\nAt the Mexicana<\/em><\/strong> you can taste different types of coffees and you can also buy the mixtures to take away, as well as some teas and other specialties. I highly recommend\u00a0a visit!<\/span><\/p>\n

Cappuccino Bar<\/h2>\n

If you are near the Albinelli Market<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, then, you can decide to stop at the Cappuccino Bar,<\/strong>\u00a0in Vicolo Forni 5<\/a><\/em>, the narrow street in front of the main door of the market.
\nCappuccino Bar is always very busy because it serves also several dishes for a quick lunch. What probably will strike you immediately at the entrance, they are the many photographs of the famous Modenese characters, from Vasco Rossi<\/strong> to Luciano Pavarotti:\u00a0<\/strong>here the celebrities don’t miss (at least on the walls \ud83d\ude09 ).<\/span><\/p>\n

Remondini Pastry Shop<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Pastry Shop Remondini<\/strong><\/em>, in\u00a0Largo S. Giorgio<\/a><\/em>, constitutes a obliged\u00a0stop\u00a0not only for its coffee but also for its sweets. This Caf\u00e9,\u00a0born around the ’30s, it’s an elegant place, famous for its pastry and cakes. This shop overlooks Piazza Roma, one of the most important squares of the city, and from its tables you can enjoy a unique view of the Ducal Palace<\/strong><\/em>. Stop for a coffee, but also for a relaxing\u00a0stop and a good cake.<\/p>\n

Menomoka<\/h2>\n

\"Caffe\u0300_Modena_Menomoka_MyModenaDiary\"<\/p>\n

Well, its name already says a lot of things about it! Menomoka<\/strong><\/em>, in Corso Canalchiaro 136<\/em><\/a>, is a lovely place with a modern design and style. Its walls are painted with drawings of famous faces with related quotes. Here you can try selected coffee blends that will be explained to you with competence and care by its kind managers. It’s pleasant have a break here, both inside, where the many sentences on the walls are deeply inspiring, and outside, in the outdoor area.<\/p>\n
